Project Methodology

Phase I:

4th Qtr 2007 Cyber Mapping

Completed

We have talked with 100 of our ethnographic panel members and mapped out their cyber living rooms.

Phase II:

1st Qtr 2008 Ethno Interviews

In Progress

We will drive across the U.S.A. again and visit 50 to 75 of our panel members personally to document their cyber lives and how that reality interfaces with their physical lives.

Phase III:

Omnibus Study For Sponsors

We will use the insights from our ethnographic phase to design a quantitative survey so our final report will have statistical validity supported with consumer documentary movies.

Cyber Mapping Phase I Report

We have finished our 100 cyber maps and have a report available upon request. This report sums up the learning from the maps that we’ve generated that show just how people are actually using the Internet and what devices they connect to outside the home. Please contact Maren Elwood to schedule an online presentation of this information.

Cyber Census 2008

On-Site sponsors a syndicated study of a facet of U.S. culture each year. This year, we are going to take the first ever census of the cyber world. Our goal: Add depth and put a face to the statistics that abound about the Internet.

Sponsorships for the 2008 Cyber Census may still be available. Contact On-Site regarding sponsorships.

Category Sponsorship: $15,000

Only a few opportunities remain to join us on this journey into cyber space. Sponsors will be able to purchase a Category of Exploration and add five questions of their choice to an ethnographic study specific to their product category.

Category Sponsors will receive a comprehensive category analysis and be able access restricted areas on our site to search their multimedia data for insights while the study progresses.

Quantitative Partnership: $15,000

Our Partnership Sponsors will also have an opportunity to add five questions to the quantitative survey. The responses will be integrated into the official presentation to our sponsors.
